Youth schedule filling up

Posted on Tue, Jul 31, 2012:

Zion's youth fellowship group will travel sometime in August to Holmes County, OH, where they will tour the Mennonite Visitor's Center; see the Cyclorama, a painting of the biblical history from creation through Genesis, and visit an Amish working farm, where they will be allowed to visit the home and share dinner.

Jim Nevel, youth director, will announce further details in the near future.

The group is also already planning a second winter retreat at Camp Michindoh, in Michigan. A team from the church participated in the retreat last winter, and three teens gave their lives to Christ in that time. The retreat involves three days of games, worship. song, and fellowship.

Youth from the church will go Aug. 25 to the SeaGate Food Bank, where they will pack boxes for needy families. The work team will leave the church about 7:30 a.m. and return about noon.
