Help a community center

 Friendly Center, a United Methodist-supported neighborhood center in North Toledo, is seeking donations of all kinds of articles for its annual "Biggest Garage Sale Ever" rummage Aug. 6-11 at Epworth UMC, Toledo.

 Jean Smith, president of the Friendly Center Guild and a member at Zion, will receive donations and arrange for their transport to the sale site. You may reach her at the church or find her in the church directory (About Us page).

 "We'll take anything except electronics," Jean said.

 The Friendly center sale supports a major portion of the community center's annual budget. The center offers all kinds of assistance programs in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Toledo, including after-school programming, work with single mothers, and others.
