The first-ever Elliston Zion yard sale, conducted at the home of Rick & Marilyn Craft during a community yard-sale event in Elmore, netted the church $950 for its general fund.
Dozens of families contributed items to sell at the event, and Gary and LisaAnne Gregg provided a trailer to help store and haul goods to the Craft home in Genoa. Nearly half a dozen people spent over 100 hours pricing and arranging items for the sale, and the Crafts manned the tables and handled the actual sales.
JoAnne presented the money to Rev. Lawrence Keeler in worship June 23. All funds raised will go into the church's general fund.
