The Elliston Zion "LIGHT PANTRY" will open on April 13th from 4-6 PM
Elliston Zion United Methodist Church will be opening a new Food Pantry called "The Light Pantry" on Weds. April 13 from 4 to 6 PM. The pantry is located at the church at 18045 W William Street, off Elliston Trowbridge Rd. in Elliston.
The Light Pantry will be open to residents of Ottawa County. Guests will be asked to show a photo ID with address to register with the pantry. If no photo ID is available, they must bring a current electric or other household bill. This will enable the church to track its guests, the uses of the pantry and provide better pantry services.
The Light Pantry will also be working with area Migrant Ministries to serve the transitional population in our area.
Our goal is to provide a nutritional balance of food to those in need based on the number of people who reside in the household. Guests may also be able to choose from a variety of personal hygiene and household products when available.
Our pantry represents LIGHT! Loving, Inviting, Glorifying God, Helping and Teaching!
We will have a light meal available. . Servants from Elliston Zion will also be available for prayer or spiritual support if needed.
The Light Pantry will be open on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 5-7 PM and the the 4th Saturday of the month from 10 am to Noon.
Donations of non perishable food items, personal hygiene products and household products will also be accepted during pantry hours.
