Dear Friends,
On Sunday, October 22 at 10:00 AM, Elliston Zion United Methodist Church will be hosting its
Annual Blessing of the Animals Event!
This day is dedicated to All God’s beautiful creatures, big and small,
who fill our lives with comfort, loyalty and love!
We would love for you and your agency to be a part of this wonderful day!
Please consider joining us. If you would like to set up an informational table, bring animals who need new homes, demonstrate animal activities or participate in any of the day’s activities,
please RSVP as soon as possible.
We are planning:
*A Blessing of the Animals Worship Service.
Each animal present will receive a special blessing and a gift.
*A pet food drive to benefit Humane Ohio.
*A blanket drive to benefit the Ottawa County Dog Warden and the Ottawa County Humane
Society. (We are accepting light blankets, towels, sheets, bleach, and dish soap.)
*The Elliston Mutt-Strut- We will be taking a one mile walk around the beautiful town of Elliston
following the service then returning to the church for judging in an array of animal categories!
(most beautiful, best dressed, most unique, biggest, smallest, etc.)
*Hot Dogs and lunch provided.
*A Pet Memorial Tree to remember those beloved animals who have gone before us.
*Music!
